MY STORY

My passion in footwear design began while at Art Center College of Design where I earned an Industrial Design degree. While earning my degree I was placed in an internship with Nike in their training and cleated category. Since then I have spent the last 19 years working as a footwear designer across categories in both performance and lifestyle. I have worked in-house as well a contractor. Most of my experience has been as an individual contributor however most recently at Crocs I managed 2 designers. 

My career in footwear started at Oakley working as a design contractor. worked on footwear concepts and  modeling. I moved on as a contractor working for Next Planet as a industrial designer working military projects Scooters and other industrial consumer products.

My first full time position began at adidas where I spent 5 years working on multiple categories including training, team sports, cleated for football and baseball, skateboarding and mountain biking.
My career shifted to surf, skate, snow and rally racing. That is where I took a position as Lead Designer at DC shoes for the next 7 years leading the action sports industry in design and innovation holding multiple patents and awards.

In 2010, I decided to venture out on my own and start my design firm called Sportdesign. For the next two years I had multiple contracts with brands such as Columbia, O'Neil, Shoe Co, Anta, Li-ning, Tweak, 361, LRG, Iron Fist sports and Gourmet Footwear.

In this last position at Crocs I led the Crocs One category, their core category working on men’s, women’s and kids including innovation, new styles and designs.
